Sets

Anybody familiar with collectible and trading cards games (CCGs/TCGs) will be familiar with the concept of sets. It's basically a collection of cards, sometimes based around a specific mechanic or theme of the lore.

When it comes to the Cardano blockchain capabilities, we have the ability to leave a policy unlocked or lock it after a set amount of time. When a policy is locked, this means that there will be no more changes capable. No new cards can be added and the supply cannot be altered. Each set of Abyssal Horrors uses its own policy ID, meaning that each set will lock after a certain amount of time.

Basic sets of cards that are currently intended to be released twice per year will be unlocked for approximately six months, whereas a promo set will categorised by year so the set will lock on the final day of a year.

Abyssal Horrors has no intentions of increasing the supply of cards once it has been decided, even before the policy locks. For example, if a set is released and a card has been decided that it'll be unique with a supply of 1 then that will not be changed even before the policy locks.

Founders Set

The Founders Set is features 24 cards that will never again be minted. Once they're gone, they're gone. It will consist of 20 FT (fungible tokens) with a very limited supply and 4 NFTs (non-fungible tokens) which means four lucky mints will mean having the only copies of those cards that will ever exist. Promo 2022 Set

The Promo 2022 Set is an ongoing collection that contains cards minted for special events, such as pre-mind bonuses, collaborations and community airdrops. Currently it consists of three cards. The policy ID for the Promo 2022 set will remain unlocked until the end of 2022 as more cards may be added, but the existing supply of already released promo cards will not be altered.
